The Gurkha Grill recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and has been given a face lift, with new decor and a menu to match. The name Gurkha Grill came from a French restaurant in Kathmandu Nepal. Raj and Neil (partner in the Gurkha Grill) were employees of the Gurkha Grill restaurant in Nepal, which was probably one of the best restaurants in Nepal at the time.
The Gurkha Grill was established in 1996 on Burton Road, West Didsbury. The Gurkha Grill soon got a reputation for culinary excellence, with a variety and range of dishes not seen before in a traditional cuury house. The Gurkha Grill soon became a name on everyone's lips for food excellence and a friendly atmosphere and good service to its customers. Catering for the individual who has special tastes.
The Gurkha Grill has quite a varied range of dishes, bordering on the Nepalese to the more traditional Indian dishes with a twist of Nepal to give the dish the Gurkha Grill taste. The menus are constantly changing because the Gurkha Grill believes in creating it's own special taste which the Gurkha Grill is renowned for and to keep the menus looking fresh, with new culinary ideas. The Gurkha Grill has been given a transformation into a modern looking restaurant to fit in with trendy West Didsbur,; and has a modern minimalist look with neutral colours and some great traditional Nepalese features.
